County council affairs

The district administrator's office handles the day-to-day business of the county council and its committees. It is the link between the county council, the administration and the citizens with the following areas of responsibility:

  • Preparation and follow-up of county council and county committee ceetings
  • Supporting the specialist services in the preparation and follow-up of all specialist Committee Meetings
  • Support of the chairperson of the county council
  • Coordination and preparation of appointments
  • Processing of inquiries from residents to the county council or the county council chairperson
  • Processing of inquiries and orders from the county council to the administration
  • Advising members of the county council and parliamentary groups on county council matters

In the office of the district administrator, all data relevant to the county council and its committees are collected via a council information system. Here they are checked and, if necessary, further processed. It maintains the master data of the county council members and manages the financial resources allocated to the district council. In addition to controlling resolutions for the district council, the work of the district council and its committees is documented. The documents can be viewed here at any time and can be accessed via the citizen information system.

County law / official announcements

The right of the counties to pass bylaws is given by the guarantee for self-administration in the constitution for the county level. The statutes apply spatially to the county territory, objectively to the county affairs and the temporal scope of application results from the respective statute itself. County law includes all bylaws, ordinances and directives adopted by the county council.
