For the general election of municipal representatives, local councillors and local chairpersons to be held nationwide on Sunday, June 9, 2024, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., the state election officer Christa Dieckmann reminds the parties to submit election notices. She points out that the election notification with the necessary attachments for the municipal elections must be received by her by 6 p.m. on March 4, 2024 at the latest. In order to be able to rectify any deficiencies in good time, it is recommended that election notices be submitted early.
Parties that did not participate in the last election to the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt or in the last election to the German Bundestag in the state of Saxony-Anhalt with an attributable election proposal may only submit election proposals as a party if they have notified the state returning officer in writing of their participation in the election by the end of the submission deadline (March 4, 2024) and the state electoral committee has established their party status.
