Family midwives - Frühe Hilfen

What are family midwives?

Family midwives support pregnant women, new mothers or families during pregnancy and in caring for the infant during the child's first year of life. They help to establish a stable, sustainable relationship between mother/parents and child and to promote the child's health and development. Existing stress and risk factors can thus be reduced or avoided. They work closely with the regional Early Intervention Network.

Family midwives are referred by the "Koordinierungsstelle Frühe Hilfen und Familienhebammen". Please fill out the Family Midwife Needs Form and send it to the coordination office. Your request will then be forwarded to the family midwives. Contact will be established with you.
