Take part in Girls' and Boys' Day - Future Day 2024 now

Companies and institutions can now apply - the district administration is also taking part!

It's that time of year again on April 25: the annual Future Day (also known as Girls' Day or Boys' Day) is taking place. Future Day is a career and study orientation event. Girls and boys from the 5th grade onwards are given new perspectives for their professional future and thus also the opportunity to include professions in their personal life planning that have so far mainly been practiced by women or men. From this year onwards, interested 11th graders can also take part.

The registration phase for companies and institutions is underway

All companies, associations, educational institutions and institutions in the Börde district are invited to open their doors to schoolchildren on April 25, 2024. Promote the next generation - free of gender stereotypes and find your trainees of tomorrow now! Interested companies and organizations can now post their practical vocational events for girls or boys online in the competence center's radar at girls-day.de/radar and boys-day.de/radar. They can find information and register for their desired offer at the same place.

The Börde district administration is also taking part in the nationwide Future Day this year. With this offer, the Börde district would like to support boys and girls in their career planning and show that the emergency services are not a "man's job" or that administration is not a woman's domain. Pupils are encouraged to discover new things and plan their future beyond traditional ideas

"Gaining an insight into new professional worlds and perhaps discovering your dream job in the process - regardless of outdated role clichés - all this is made possible by the upcoming Future Day." This is why the Börde district will once again be actively involved on April 25, according to District Administrator Martin Stichnoth. On this day, 15 girls and 15 boys will have the opportunity to find out more about apprenticeships in the district administration. They can also register online via the radar.

Anyone who needs support with registering in the radar or searching for and finding suitable offers is welcome to contact Ms. Klommhaus, Equal Opportunities Officer of the Börde district (contact: gleichstellung(at)landkreis-boerde.de, Tel.: 03904 7240-1301).
