Due to the weather changes that have occurred in the meantime, in particular the thawing of the snow cover and rising temperatures, the food situation for game has improved significantly. The natural food sources are once again sufficiently accessible, meaning that there is no longer a food shortage as defined by hunting law.
The emergency period is cancelled in consultation with the district master hunter and the hunting advisory board. This means that the general hunting regulations of the Federal Hunting Act and the Hunting Act of Saxony-Anhalt apply again with immediate effect. In particular, the feeding of game is once again prohibited. The restrictions on hunting operations in place during the emergency period, such as the ban on killing game within a radius of 200 metres of feeding sites, also no longer apply. The Lower Hunting Authority asks all those authorised to hunt to comply with the new regulations.
