The upcoming Christmas season is a time of joy, peace and reflection. "Many of us have had a challenging year," emphasizes District Administrator Martin Stichnoth, "so it is all the more important to be able to spend the festive season in peace." To take account of the special nature of the festive season, the district of Börde is preserving the so-called "Christmas truce" and refraining from taking any stressful measures over the holidays wherever possible. The employees of the district administration will therefore refrain from enforcement measures from 20.12.2023 up to and including 7.1.2024. The "Christmas peace" is intended to help everyone spend the holidays as carefree as possible and make a small contribution to a good relationship between citizens and the administration.
