As every year, the herb garden takes centre stage at this year's event. Visitors can explore the garden areas and stroll around the numerous stalls to their heart's content.
Other contributors to the event include the young artists from the "Kurt Masur" Oschersleben Music School and their teachers, who perform every hour between 11.30 am and 3.00 pm. There will also be regular short guided tours of the garden. This year's theme is: "Plant surrogates: deficiency substitutes or real alternatives?" Chicory and barley instead of coffee beans is well known! But what about tigernut, lupin and quinoa products, vegan chickpea mayo and potato milk these days? This and more is part of the garden tour. The meeting point is at the garden pavilion.
There will also be several food stalls catering for body and soul, and the museum's clay oven will be heated up and baked in front of the public especially for this day. Admission is €5.00 for adults and a reduced price of €2.50 for schoolchildren, apprentices and students. Small children up to the age of 6 do not pay admission. Of course, the admission price also includes a visit to the new permanent exhibition.
