At home, the laundry, the hoover or the dishwasher are already waiting for you. The children need help with their studies, want to play with you or perhaps need to be taken to sports. You also have to prepare dinner and the lunch boxes for the next day. Once all the tasks are done and the children are in bed, you fall exhausted onto the couch and prepare yourself for a cosy end to the day with your favourite series and a few snacks.
You've probably already experienced a situation like this. Physical activity and exercise are often neglected in the stress of everyday life. As well as time, there is often a lack of motivation at the end of the day. As we spend a large part of the day sitting, for example in the car or at a desk, everyday movement plays an important role in our health. Small purchases can be done on foot or the journey to work can be done by bike to integrate more movement into everyday life.
A brisk walk of ten minutes a day can reduce the personal risk of cardiovascular disease by 20 per cent. The German Heart Foundation recommends that healthy adults should be moderately active for 30 minutes at least five times a week. This strengthens your heart and promotes your health.
Whether it's walking, hiking, running, swimming, dancing, ball sports or cycling - do the activity you enjoy and integrate more exercise into your everyday life. Every step and every extra movement counts.
