Thanks to the help of many employees and citizens, District Administrator Martin Stichnoth and his team from the District Administrator's office were able to fulfill 188 wishes today. There have never been so many!
The Christmas wish trees in the administrative offices in Haldensleben and Oschersleben have been filled with wish lists made by children, young people and senior citizens over the past few weeks.
"Anyone who has ever helped out at the food banks knows how grateful people are for any form of support," said Martin Stichnoth. "That's what Christmas is all about for me: Standing together and giving support where it's needed. That's why I'm very happy about the many lovingly wrapped parcels for the people in our region."
Representatives of the DRK district association Börde e.V.the Wildfang GmbH children's and youth welfare and the children's village "Am Spring" received the numerous presents today with shining eyes and distributed them in their facilities before Christmas.
