Naturalization ceremony at the district administration office

On behalf of District Administrator Martin Stichnoth, Friederike Hecht presented the naturalization certificates to 29 men, women and children.

Yesterday, a ceremonial naturalization event took place in the Börde district, at which department head Friederike Hecht presented 29 people with their naturalization certificates. In a festive setting, the new citizens were warmly welcomed and officially granted German citizenship. They were also presented with the German Basic Law.

The event began with a ceremonial speech by Ms. Hecht, who emphasized how important the contribution of the new citizens is to the cultural, social and political life of the district. She emphasized that diversity is an enrichment and that naturalization is a symbolic act of belonging and commitment to society. The 29 men, women and children were then called to the stage, where they received their naturalization certificates to great applause.

The ceremonial naturalization event in the Börde district was not just a formal administrative act, but also a moment of joy after a long process. In order to be naturalized, a person must have lived in Germany legally for many years, have a good command of the German language, be able to support themselves and their family and meet other requirements.
