Weapons licences can now also be applied for online - new "eWaffe" online service launched in the Börde district

From now on, citizens in the Börde district can apply for their firearms licences easily, securely and around the clock online.

The district administration's service portal can be used to digitally apply for gun ownership licences, small firearms licences and the European firearms pass. Reports on the acquisition, transfer or loss of weapons can now also be conveniently submitted online.

Even less frequently required applications, such as for a red firearms licence (e.g. for gun collectors), are possible via the new online service. The "eWaffe" service currently offers a total of 21 different application options in the area of firearms law. Access is via the Börde district website at www.landkreis-boerde.de/onlineservice.

With "eWaffe", the district provides a modern, digital solution for all non-commercial gun owners - such as hunters and sport shooters. Applications can be submitted conveniently from home, regardless of opening hours.

The online service guides you step by step through the entire application process. Required documents can simply be uploaded on a computer or smartphone. The data entered is then transferred securely and directly to the administration's specialised procedure, without paper forms and media disruptions.

District Administrator Martin Stichnoth emphasises the importance of the new service: "We want to gradually make administration digital and citizen-friendly. Weapons licences are a good example of how digital solutions can simplify procedures while ensuring data protection and accessibility."

The Börde district is focussing on modern, digital solutions that make administration faster, more secure and more convenient.
