Restoration of the birch spring in Hoher Holz via the Saxony-Anhalt immediate funding programme NaturWasserMensch 2024
The "Großer Graben" maintenance association has submitted an application to the Ministry for Water Management, Energy, Climate Protection and the Environment of the state of Saxony-Anhalt for the restoration of the birch spring near Neubrandsleben and has received financial support for this project.
The birch spring is part of the Oschersleben district, is located in the Hohes Holz landscape conservation area and is also part of the Hohes Holz FFH area near Eggenstedt. The birch grove extends in the south-eastern part of the Hohes Holz. The Goldbach stream flows through this part and the birch spring originates here. Read more
Successful implementation of the European Water Framework Directive at the Johannesteichgraben on the Aller
After four years of intensive planning, preparation and implementation, the construction work to renaturalise the Johannesteichgraben has been successfully completed. The watercourse flows through the village of Morsleben (municipality of Ingersleben, district of Morsleben, district of Börde). This measure has made a further contribution to the implementation of the European Water Framework Directive and the protection of our valuable bodies of water. Read more
