On Saturday, 29 November 2025, the Börde district youth council and NABU Barleben invite you to the second tree planting campaign "Mission Tree 2.0.", starting at 11 am. The action will take place on a prepared area in Samswegen. The exact meeting point will be communicated after registration.
The focus is once again on climate protection and biodiversity: a total of 50 trees of old regional fruit varieties will be planted and willows planted in order to make a long-term contribution to the ecological enhancement of the area. Mission Tree 2.0. is intended to be more than just an environmental campaign. With this project, the Youth District Council also wants to send out a clear signal in favour of democracy and diversity. As a symbolic highlight, messages of peace will be released for every tree planted.
This campaign combines nature and democracy education. Young people are given the space to stand up for their values and become active. All interested residents are cordially invited to take part in the campaign. Registration is required in order to announce the exact meeting point and to facilitate the organisation.
