Börde District expresses its gratitude for the generosity of donors

30th Blood Donation Day at the Haldensleben District Office a resounding success

The 30th Blood Donation Day took place on 8 June 2026 at the Börde District Office in Haldensleben, attracting a large turnout. Together with the German Red Cross, the event once again sent a strong message of solidarity, social commitment and active responsibility.

A total of 57 blood donors took part in the event. In addition, 16 people had their blood types tested, thereby making an important contribution to the fight against serious illnesses such as leukaemia.

District Administrator Martin Stichnoth was delighted with the great response:

“The high turnout shows that a willingness to help and a sense of responsibility are firmly rooted in our community. Every single blood donor can save lives. My heartfelt thanks go to all the donors, the staff of the German Red Cross and the numerous volunteers who made this event possible.”

The Börde district has been committed to promoting blood donation for many years. This 30th edition of the campaign impressively highlights just how important regular blood donations are for medical care. At the same time, the opportunity to be typed offers an additional chance to pave the way for potential stem cell donors and to give hope to seriously ill people.

The Börde district would like to thank everyone involved for their commitment and hopes that this successful campaign will motivate many people, even beyond the district administration, to donate blood regularly. Because one thing remains unchanged:

Donating blood saves lives!
