Disaster response exercise on 11 July 2026 – emergency vehicles on the move in the Börde district

On Saturday, 11 July 2026, a large-scale civil protection exercise will take place in the Börde district. During the exercise, numerous emergency services personnel – including members of the fire service, ambulance service and civil protection – will work together to simulate a real-life emergency at the Bundeswehr training town of Schnöggersburg.

As part of the exercise, various operational scenarios will be practised under realistic conditions. The aim is to further strengthen cooperation between the specialist services and organisations involved, to optimise operational procedures and to consolidate communication between the individual units.
During the exercise, there may therefore be increased emergency service traffic throughout the day, particularly between 7.00 am and 9.00 am. This is merely a planned exercise. There is no danger to the public. The Börde district asks all road users for their understanding and for them to exercise extra caution, particularly near the exercise site in the Colbitz-Letzlinger Heide.
Important: Regular emergency services will be fully guaranteed throughout the exercise. Sufficient emergency personnel and rescue resources will be available at all times for genuine emergencies.
