Successful performance at the "Jugend Musiziert" youth competition

The "Jugend musiziert" music competition is considered one of the most important for young talents in Germany. In the first round, the regional competition, the Haldensleben/Wolmirstedt district music school presented itself with a total of 10 pupils.

The participants were characterized by their diversity:

  • Clarinet solo (lessons with Mr. Uwe Blamberg): Sophia Schreiber from age group 1a achieved 23 points and first place, as did Ella Staufenbiel and Marlena Flohr from age group 1b. Tabea Daenecke from age group 2 also scored 23 points and thus qualified for the state competition. In age group 3, Jakob Dreischarf and Samuel Vater secured first place with 21 points.
  • Saxophone solo (lessons with Mr. Sascha Ziep): Finn Levi Haupt from age group 2 gained 21 points and first place.
  • Guitar solo (lessons with Ms. Beate Peßler): Lena Götze from age group 4 scored 23 points and qualified for the state competition.

A special highlight was the duo of piano and string instrument: Emil Eckhardt from the cello class of Rita Goos and Uta Friedrichsen from the piano class of Tanja Litmanowitsch from age group 4 represented the school in Dessau and received 22 points and first place. Of the 10 talented musicians, 2 pupils managed to qualify for the next round of the competition, the state competition: Tabea Daenecke and Lena Götze. The state competition "Jugend musiziert" for Saxony-Anhalt took place from March 15 to 17, 2024 in Halle. Here, Tabea Daenecke (clarinet, age group 2) won 1st prize with 23 points and was the best in her age group.
