Call for the "Unser Dorf hat Zukunft" competition 2024 to 2026
The district of Börde is calling for participation in the district decision in the "Unser Dorf hat Zukunft" competition. Villages in the Börde district can register their participation until 30 April 2024. Interested village communities can show how they make their rural life attractive with commitment and ingenuity and work on new goals to continuously improve village life.
Every Börde village has special features and potential that make our region so appealing and contribute to an attractive rural life. All villages taking part in the competition can look forward to an award ceremony and financial recognition. The state is providing a total of 100,000 euros for all participants in the district competitions in Saxony-Anhalt. The winning village also qualifies to take part in the Saxony-Anhalt 2025 state competition.
Who can take part?
Participation is open to spatially enclosed villages, localities or districts with a predominantly village character as well as neighbouring villages with a maximum total of 3,000 inhabitants. Applications can be submitted by associations, initiatives or the municipal council.
How does the competition work?
Registration for the district competition takes place using the questionnaire, which must be completed in full and signed by 30 April 2024 and submitted exclusively by email to the district of Börde (email address: wirtschaft@landkreis-boerde.de).
The village inspections will take place from 19 August to 6 September 2024 (each participating village will be visited by the evaluation committee for a maximum two-hour tour).
The award ceremony is planned for the 39th week of the calendar (23 September to 27 September 2024).
What will be assessed?
Taking into account the initial situation, the aim is to show how the village community overcomes existing challenges with drive and creativity. Cooperation with neighbouring villages will also be considered. In addition to the overall impression, measures on the following topics are particularly important:
Economy, infrastructure and development concepts
Cohesion, social interaction and culture
Building culture, nature, environment and climate change
