Extension of the cycle path along the K 1163 between Irxleben and Niederndodeleben
In order to reduce CO2 emissions from the transport sector and improve traffic conditions, the Börde district is planning to upgrade the cycle path between Irxleben and Niederndodeleben in the course of the K 1163. The cycle path was built as part of a job creation scheme in the 1990s. It no longer meets today's requirements in terms of both its structural condition and the standard and minimum widths. The cycle path is to be rehabilitated at a cost of €0.75 million. Of this amount, € 0.68 million will be financed from EU subsidies (European Regional Development Fund ERDF) and € 0.07 million from the district's own funds.
