The plan contains recommendations for action and proposals for measures that are not legally binding. The proposed measures can be implemented within the next few years. They contribute to the development of the Green Belt, safeguard the ecological value of the protected area and strengthen its importance for nature, culture and tourism.
Interested citizens, institutions and authorised users have the opportunity to view the plan and submit comments during this period.
The deadline for submitting comments is 14 days after the end of the public exhibition, i.e. 14 March 2026. Comments can be submitted digitally via the Saxony-Anhalt participation portal.
The plan is also available in analogue form in the districts of Harz, Börde, Altmarkkreis Salzwedel and Stendal. It can be viewed there during the normal business hours of the respective district administrations.
The public display ensures the participation of the public and the relevant public interest organisations. The aim is to make the development and protection of the Saxony-Anhalt Green Belt National Natural Monument transparent and to incorporate suggestions and comments from the public and specialised institutions.
