The dormitory of the Börde district

The district of Börde runs the dormitory for trainees at the Haldensleben vocational schools. It is located at Zollstraße 1 in 39340 Haldensleben, on the B 245 and in the immediate vicinity of the Mittelland Canal. From here, it is only a few minutes' walk to the town centre and the train and bus stations. The dormitory has a capacity of 30 places. Single and twin rooms are available for students to stay overnight.

The dormitory has 4 common rooms. One of these is equipped as a fully-fledged classroom with a blackboard, tables and chairs. This offers enough space for homework, group or creative work. The second, like the breakfast room on the upper floor, has a TV with satellite TV and DVD player and is suitable for cosy and exciting TV evenings. The third lounge has a pool table and table football. Access to the rooms as well as cues and billiard balls or the ball for the table football can be obtained on request from the centre management. In addition, the in-house fitness equipment and table tennis tables can be used by arrangement. For self-catering, the trainees have 2 communal kitchens at their disposal, where they can also cook together. The hall of residence has free WLAN access for trainees.

There are shopping facilities nearby as well as an indoor swimming pool, the Kulturfabrik, the museum and other cultural facilities. The educators support the trainees with their homework, in finding and organising leisure activities and in practical areas of life.

Opening hours

Accommodation in the dormitory is possible from Sunday, 17:00 to Friday, 14:00.
Arrival should be no later than 23:00 on the day before the start of the block course or full-time accommodation.

Costs

The following fees are charged for the use of a room in the dormitory and for the shared use of the common rooms:

Use per overnight stay 11.00 euros
Breakfast per day 1.90 euros

Bed linen and towels can also be rented for a fee.
