The building itself was built in 1822 as an Israelite temple, remodelled into a New Apostolic church in 1907 and attached to the Haldensleben Museum as a branch in 2002. Since 2007, the House of Other Neighbours has been dedicated to all population groups in Haldensleben of "other" origin and religion with exhibitions and events.
