Together with the Competence Centre for Gender Equality in Child and Youth Work and the Vera e.V. prevention team, a workshop will be held on 28 August from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Haldensleben District Office on the topic of the ability to act against loverboys. By pretending to be in a love relationship, young women and girls* are made emotionally dependent and forced into prostitution under pressure. Any girl*, regardless of her background or level of education, can become a victim of a so-called "loverboy".
The free workshop is aimed at all child and youth welfare professionals and interested parties and provides an insight into the topic. Participants will learn how to recognise the signs and how to take action to counteract this perfidious tactic.
The workshop offers theoretical units as well as practical exercises and space to exchange experiences.
