The high wood gets new wood

Spring also marks the start of the new planting season. Our country's forests are close to our hearts. Many damaged forest areas are in urgent need of reforestation. We are delighted that we are once again able to plant around 3,000 new trees in the "Hohe Holz" in order to preserve its special flair in the long term. Red oak and black walnut will complement the mixed deciduous forest area in future.

Under the patronage of the Saxony-Anhalt state parliament and with the repeated strong support of the Fielmann Group AG , the Schutzgemeinschaft Deutscher Wald Landesverband Sachsen-Anhalt e. V. (SDW) invites you to the planting campaign on Saturday, 18 April 2026, 10.00 am to 1.00 pm .

State Parliament President Dr Gunnar Schellenberger will once again be taking the opportunity to grab a spade himself and plant trees forCO2 compensation in order to actively support climate protection.

Fielmann Group AG has been intensively supporting numerous planting campaigns in Saxony-Anhalt for years, as the restoration of our forests is part of the company's philosophy. The German Forest Protection Association is pleased to have such a reliable partner at its side. Planting campaigns are a project close to the Group's heart. A good tradition, which was established by former company boss Günther Fielmann, is being continued today by his son, Marc Fielmann. Every year, the company plants a tree for every employee, not least Marc Fielmann himself in 2024 in the Hohe Holz.

After the work is done, all participants can come together over lunch to talk and exchange ideas.

We invite all citizens to support us in this campaign. Join us in making one of the most beautiful landscape conservation areas in our federal state even greener. It is of particular importance as a recreational area - today and for future generations.
