Klosterkirche Groß Ammensleben

raf Dietrich II von Ammensleben founded a canonical monastery of the Augustinian Order in the 12th century. Significant parts of the transeptless basilica, built of quarry stone masonry, date from this time. Shortly after its foundation, the monastery was handed over to the Benedictine order. Inside, among other things, there is a wood-carved high altar and a small rococo organ.
